This practical workshop introduces the concepts of Soil Health and provides participants with the practical skills and knowledge to Rapidly Assess Soil Health (RASH).
The RASH approach teaches the practical skills you will acquire during this workshop such as:
- How to quickly Identify soil type and soil organic matter (SOM) and Rapidly Assess Soil Health – In the field!
- Identifying soil constraints: physical, chemical and biological limitations e.g., compaction, pH, salinity, dispersion and water logging.
- Manage your soils to better meet your needs and improve production through: planned grazing, planting cover crops and mixed legumes and applying lime, gypsum composts and other and fertilizer’s.
