Join us in Biboohra for a practical field day with Leasie Felderholf and Mick Blackman to learn about:
- Fuel loads
- Managing the tree/grass balance
- Promoting perennial grasses over annual grasses
- Fire characteristics of different plant species
- Fuel load and curing
- Reading the landscape such as previous charring, char heights, and various vegetation indicators
- Fire breaks and erosion control
- Fire for weed control
- Fire behaviour in general (e.g. related to wind, slope, fuel load, fuel structure, ignition point etc)
