Mexican rancher Alejandro Carrillo rehabilitated the land on his family’s ranch in the Chihuahuan Desert by adopting regenerative grazing principles.
This two-day workshop, beginning with theory and overall aims includes an optional dinner (provided) at the Opal Ridge Motel at the end of Day One.
On Day Two, Alejandro will lead a workshop in the field at the Mt Pleasant Leaning Hub. (Lunch and morning tea is provided).
Across the two days, Alejandro will range across a number of subjects including:
- soil fertility;
- genetic selection;
- the water cycle;
- regenerative grazing;
- risk management;
- return on investment;
- invasive pests;
- resilience; and
- profitability.
