The TNQ Drought Hub was proud to support the FNQ Growers Gala Dinner as a Bronze Sponsor on 4 September 2026. The event brought together 330 attendees to celebrate the region’s growers, recognise agricultural achievements and raise funds for local charities.
It was fantastic to see the FNQ growing community come together to celebrate the people and businesses contributing to agriculture across Far North Queensland.
The event also included a farm tour earlier on in the day, exploring the people, places and opportunities shaping agriculture in Far North Queensland. Participants visited Tyrconnell Valley and Pinata Farms, with lunch at Skybury, gaining an insight into the region’s diverse horticultural industries and the businesses behind them.
TNQ Drought Hub Director, Karen George attended the tour and shared, “It was great visiting these local family operated farms, seeing what innovations they’ve set up and how they are dealing with the rising costs of production, compliance and labour.”
The tour provided an opportunity to connect with fellow growers, share knowledge and celebrate the innovation and hard work driving local agriculture.
