DESCRIPTION:The popular property fire information session and planning workshop series is coming to Gladstone region\, giving local landholders the chance to share and learn how to prepare for and manage fire on their properties and in the surrounding landscape. \nRepresentatives from the Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium (QFBC)\, Gladstone Regional Council\, Rural Fire Service Queensland will share information about their roles and offer advice about planning for the approaching fire season. \nTo be eligible to attend the planning workshop\, your property must be in the Gladstone area\, and over 1.5 hectares in size\, unless it is next to or adjoining a very large natural area. \nThe QFBC – a program of Healthy Land & Water – and QFES are proudly partnering with Gladstone Regional Council to deliver these sessions. \nFor more information\, please contact Craig Welden from the QFBC on craig.w@hlw.org.au or 0437 726 279. \nIt is important to note to attend the planning workshop\, you must attend the initial information session.  \nThis is a Gladstone Regional Council initiative which is jointly funded under the Commonwealth/State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements – Queensland Reconstruction Authority.

DESCRIPTION:Growcom invites you to attend the Focus on Finance regional workshop series being delivered under the Farm Business Resilience Program (FBRP). \nThis practical workshop will walk you through the development of your Farm Business Resilience Plan. Participants will also gain a greater understanding of the FBRP and what drought assistance is currently available through the QRIDA. \nOn the day you will hear from a range of guest speakers including chartered accountants and business advisors Bentleys Queensland\, gain an understanding of the Rural Financial Counselling Service\, and the QIRDA grants and loans available. \nBefore attending the event\, Growcom recommends participants register/log in to Growcom’s Hort360 program and complete the FBRP module to the best of your ability. Bring your module with you (print out\, tablet or personal computer) to the workshop along with any questions or concerns you have. Growcom will have tablets available on the day for participants use.
